Visitors can combine a wine tasting with breakfast or a light meal, and the broader property offers mountain scenery, walking, birdlife and family-friendly space.

Springfontein is a Stanford wine estate on distinctive limestone-rich soils, with hospitality centred on the ULUMBAZA Wine Bar(n). Visitors can taste the estate’s range, buy wine and settle in for an à la carte meal or daily special in a relaxed farm setting. The bar is open daily and does not require reservations, although booking is recommended for meals. The separate Wortelgat wine-dining experience is seasonal and reservation-only, so its availability should be checked independently.

Families and well-behaved pets are welcome, and the restaurant and tasting facilities trade daily during the published daytime hours.

The property brings Walker Bay wines and Birkenhead Brewery together at one cellar-door stop, with guided tastings and an on-site restaurant serving contemporary South African food. Visitors can choose wine or beer tasting, dine on the estate and enjoy the surrounding vineyard and mountain setting during the farm’s published daily opening hours.
